The Persian tiger, also known as caspian tiger, lived in Central Asia, the Anatolian mainland… When the Russian Zar conquered the region, He commanded to his army to kill them all. The deforestation made by the settlers end up with the lasts ones. The last Persian tiger was saw in 1961
Golden Toad

No one has seen any golden toad since 1989, ad this specie was discovered in 1960. It was discovered in a very small and high region of the cloudy forest in Monteverde. The extinction of this toad is used like a sign of the enormous fall in the amphibians population
Caribbean monk seal
It lived in the Caribbean sea and disappeared in the middle of the XX century.
There are some stories about people that has seen one but some some expeditions has failed in the mission of find one. It is considered extinguished since 1952.
Chinese river’s dolphin
This is a specie of dolphin from the Yangtze's river. In 1979 the Chinese government protected it against the hunting. In 1990, its number was about 200 animals and the building of the Three gorges dam destroyed his whole environment. In 2006 no one could find one and the specie was declared extinguished
Mexican bear
It was a subspecie of the grizzly bear who lived in Mexico and the south of the United states. It wasn’t very know until it disappeared in 1964

It was a bird who lived in the forests of Mexico and in the south of the United States. The illegal hunting and the deforestation made that the biggest and the most beautiful specie of woodpecker disappear in a time when some protected areas could be created and safe this animal. It is considered extinguished since 1957
